An evil character wants to take over all the vineyards on the planet, and monopolize the world of wine. To foil this evil plan, like a sort of Bacchus 007, will be a sommelier who will have to improvise as a spy. In a nutshell, this is the plot of “The Wine Spies”, a new film project directed by Lino Pujia, starring the famous sommelier and now actor Charlie Arturaola, already the protagonist of the successful “El camino del Vino” and “The Duel of Wine”. And it will be presented in Venice on August 30 (with many toasts: from Prosecco Gold Bottega to Brunello di Montalcino, from Malvasia Ancestrale of the Orsogna Winery to Scalunera Etna Biando Doc Tenute Piccini to Champagne Drappier) in the “Giornate degli Autori”, an independent exhibition at the Venice Film Festival, on stage from tomorrow to September 7. According to WineNews, filming will start in April 2020 between Spain, France, Italy, Argentina and the USA, and if support from the “cinematic ” point of view has already arrived, production is now open to contributions from the world of wine. The cast also includes the famous Russian showgirl and influencer Olesya Yermakova.
