The young 27-year-old from Cologne, sommelier at the 2-starred Le Pavillon in Zurich, at the Asi-Association de la Sommellerie Internationale World Championships, has beaten the competition of 65 of the best sommelier in the world, from 63 different countries, including the Belpaese, represented by Daniele Arcangeli, Best Sommelier of Italy Aspi in 2015. On the podium, together with the German Marc Almert, also the Danish Nina Højgaard Jensen, Best Sommelier of Denmark in 2017 and Best Young Sommelier of Europe in 2016, and Raimonds Tomsons from Latvia, Best Sommelier of Europe and Africa in 2017.
