STARBUCKS OFFERS WINE AND BEER AGAIN: THE WORLD COFFEE GIANT RE- LAUNCHES THE PROJECT IN SEATTLE, WITH A NEW NAME AND A “TERRITORIAL” OFFER. TESTING ALSO IN SPAIN AND JAPAN IN VIEW OF OTHER INVESTMENTS...

Starbucks is trying again with wine and beer. The global coffee giant re-launched the project that they had experimented, with alternate success, on their premises in Delhi (where it had little success) and Seattle (where the idea was appreciated). Starbucks will start again in the American city, seeking to diversify and enrich its offer: the Olive Way store on Capitol Hill will be renovated, setting up coffee in the center and surrounding it with wine and beer and more menu choices. This is a sign that the concept of territory is becoming increasingly important for those who think globally.
Wines will come from the northeast Pacific or from the cellars of the wine districts of the States of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and the Canadian province of British Columbia and beers from local and artisan producers. Similar tests will be carried out in other countries like Spain and Japan. If the experiment proves successful, the chain is ready to replicate in other parts of the world where it is already in business. The beverage market dealers will be keeping a close eye on this initiative.
