It is finally here, even though at the moment only in the U.S.: The e-commerce giant Amazon (they invoiced more than 3.8 million US dollars in September 2012, ed), after a couple of unsuccessful attempts, has launched its "wine" section. The service will allow customers to buy "more than a thousand wine labels" online. So far,due to the very strict US laws on marketing and wine exports, it is limited to a few States (California, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Washinton, Wyoming and the District of Columbia). But, if it is successful, one can bet it will quickly go worldwide.
