The Neapolitan Pastiera is the recipe Italians clicked most on Google, in 2018

The Neapolitan Pastiera is in first place, ahead of Tiramisu, and “Carbonara”. These are the three most sought-after recipes that Italians clicked in 2018 , according to the Google Trends analysis, which every year analyzes a year-long study on the most important search engine in the world. In fourth position, the Easter dove and in 5th place, Casatiello - another typical Neapolitan Easter dish- followed by Cous Cous.
Position number seven goes to Carnival fritters, in the hundreds of variations found throughout Italy, at number 8 it is Sangria, then the cocktail "Sex on the Beach" and, completing the "top 10", an Italian pasta, Passatelli.
Food takes the lion’s share in the “how to” category on Google, too. First place goes to “back up”, while pancakes take second place and third place is how to make a screenshot, slime or how to write an essay; however, Google users asked how to make, in order, zucchini, mayonnaise, pesto, caramel and tomato sauce.
Finally, an interesting fact regarding wine: in the category "tickets", the most clicked, following the Italian Lottery and the semi-final return of the last edition of the Champions League Roma-Liverpool, are tickets for Vinitaly, the top Italian wine fair, ahead of those for the Milan Furniture Fair and the Eminem concert.
