A journey into the beauty of Italian wine, into the heart of its most important territories, told through images, convivial moments with producers, visits to the winery and beyond: “Sip Trip”, the roadshow starring Jeff Porter, one of the most influential wine names in the USA (former director of the beverage division of the Bastianich group), is about to go online and will be broadcast from August 13 on the YouTube channel of “Sip Trip” and on the Vinepair website. “A journey filmed in the Italy of wine, which crosses the country from north to south over twelve episodes for the web”, produced with Ieem - International Event & Exhibition Management by Marina Nedic and Giancarlo Voglino, with the American agency Pr Colangelo & Partners. Jeff’s journey (shared with Adam Teeter of Vinepair, Jenni Guizio, wine manager of Danny Meyer’s Restaurant Group and Kellie Holmes, General Manager of the Basic Kitchen restaurant in Charleston) crossed the wine-producing Belpaese from Langhe to Trentino, from Franciacorta to Valpolicella, from Chianti Classico to Montalcino, from Umbria to Marche, from Campania to Sicily, visiting wineries such as Allegrini, Fontanafredda, Renato Ratti, Planeta, Tasca d'Almerita or Mastroberardino, among others.
“Sip Trip is a giant exploration of Italy, in a few days we have covered 3,700 kilometers - Jeff Porter told WineNews, during his stop in Montalcino - the idea of Sip Trip is to go in search of the cultural identity of the territories by connecting wine with people, food with people, and with the stories that make these territories so great, and understanding and telling why all this works so well”. A story that will soon be the prerogative of wine lovers from all over the world, to fall even more in love with Italian wine and its protagonists.
