Something has changed at the top of the “Wine Lister”, the portal that puts in line the best labels in the world taking into account, in addition to the scores of the great international critics, also factors often not too considered, such as distribution, liquidity and aging potential, which if at the top crowns the Romanée-Conti and La Tâche Grand of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, both 990 points, a step from perfection, as far as Italian labels are concerned, has more than one novelty in store. At the top, there is still the Barolo Monfortino Riserva di Giacomo Conterno, with 975 points (up from 972 at the beginning of the year, ed), but to complete the podium rise the Case Basse Sangiovese di Soldera, to 972, and Le Pergole Torte della griffe del Chianti Classico Montevertine, with 964, which thus undermine the Barolo Rocche Falletto Riserva di Falletto - Bruno Giacosa, slipped to the position n. 6 with 951 points, and the Barolo Cascina Francia by Giacomo Conterno, which reaches 957 points, but stops at position no. 4.
At no. 5, the Sassicaia of Tenuta San Guido, with 953 points, while the other Bolgherese protagonist of the international rankings and auctions, the Masseto, stops at position n. 7, at 950 points. Then, the Barolo Sperss of Gaa, at position n. 8 with 943 points, followed by the Solaia of Antinori, with 942 points, while the Barolo of Bartolo Mascarello closes the top 10 at 941 points. Scrolling through the chart, at position no. 11 there is the Ornellaia (940), in front of the Tignanello (939), while at no. 13 we find the Barolo Brunate (formerly Brunate Le Coste) by Giuseppe Rinaldi (922), just in front of the Barbaresco Sorì San Lorenzo di Gaja (921). At position no. 15 is the turn of Brunello di Montalcino Riserva di Biondi Santi (917), followed by Barolo Granbussia Riserva di Poderi Aldo Conterno (916), with Barbaresco Asili Riserva di Bruno Giacosa at position no. 17. Then, the Barolo Monprivato by Giuseppe Mascarello e Figlio, at position n. 18 with 914, in front of the Barolo Cannubi Boschis of Luciano Sandrone (912) and the Flaccianello of the Pieve di Fontodi (908), which close the first twenty positions.

At the foot of the podium, the Barbaresco Sorì San Lorenzo di Gaja (968) at position n. 4, in front of the Percarlo of San Giusto a Rentennano (967) and the Syrah of Tua Rita, at position n. 6 with 965 points. And again, at no. 7 Le Pergole Torte di Montevertine (962), at no. 8 the Merlot Filip by Miani (962), at no. 9 the Amarone della Valpolicella di Quintarelli (961) and the n. 10 the Alceo of the Castle of Rampolla (961). Everything changes when it comes to brands, with Sassicaia by Tenuta San Guido being the first among Italians and second, in global terms, with 998 points, only at Dom Pérignon and at Château Mouton Rothschild, which reaches 999 points. Behind, the protagonists of the secondary market of the fine wines: in the second place the Tignanello (994), to the third the Ornellaia (992), then the Masseto (987), to the position n. 4, with the Solaia (984) at no. 5, followed by the Barolo Monfortino Riserva by Giacomo Conterno (976) at no. 6. At position n. 7 the Barbaresco of Gaja (971), with Le Pergole Torte of Montevertine (968) at no. 8, while the Case Basse Sangiovese di Soldera (962) stops at no. 9, and the Barolo by Bartolo Mascarello (962) closes the top ten.
Finally, the top ten from the point of view of the economic index, which does not only concern the average price of the last years sold but also the volumes sold and price stability. At the top, so we find the Barbaresco Asili Riserva by Bruno Giacosa (984), followed on the podium by the Case Basse Sangiovese of Soldera (980) and by the Barolo Monfortino Riserva by Giacomo Conterno (971). At position n. 4 the Barolo Rocche Falletto Riserva by Bruno Giacosa (966), with Le Pergole Torte di Montevertine (961) at no. 5 and the Barolo Granbussia Riserva dei Poderi Aldo Conterno (957) at no. 6. Then, the Barolo Cascina Francia by Giacomo Conterno (951), at position n. 7, followed by Barolo Brunate by Giuseppe Rinaldi (946) to n. 8, and again the Barbaresco Rabajà by Bruno Giacosa (933) at no. 9 and the Barolo by Bartolo Mascarello (920) at position n. 10.
