BRUNO GIACOSA, MAESTRO OF BAROLO AND ONE OF THE GREAT ITALIAN WINE ARTISANS, WILL RECEIVE THE FIRST HONORIS CAUSE DEGREE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CULINARY SCIENCE IN POLLENZO ON JULY 10TH, IN ALBA.

He is one of the top names in Piedmont and all Italian winemaking. His signature is on absolute top level world wines like Asili Barbaresco or Barolo Rocche del Falletto, to name a few. And now, the Maestro of the vineyard and the winery, Bruno Giacosa is ready to "take the chair": July 10th, at the Teatro Sociale “G. Busca” in Alba, he will be given the first honorary degree in history from the University of Gastronomic Sciences.
"He is a true genius loci, linked inextricably to the great quality world famous Italian wine but also to a way of representing the essence of “Craftsman”: the highest technical ability and sensitivity that crystallize into a “tacit” rather than conceptual and theoretical knowledge", reads the University site about Giacosa (who will pronounce a lectio magistralis)
