Bernard Arnault, the owner of the world’s leading luxury company, LVMH, and the Belgian financier, Albert Frere (already an owner of fine wines in Bordeaux), have bought Chateau Quinalt, one of the “grand cru” of the Saint-Emilion territory, for an undisclosed price.
This was made public by the owner, Alain Raynaud, who was forced to sell due to financial problems.
Arnault and Frere already own the prestigious Chateau Cheval-Blanc and Chateau la Tour du Pin. The LVMH group also holds Chateau d’Yquem.
