MASSETO 2006 FROM THE ORNELLAIA ESTATE IS THE FIRST ITALIAN WINE IN THE “PLACE DE BORDEAUX”.THE NEGOCIANTS OF BORDEAUX WILL BE PICKING UP A CONSIGNMENT OF THE PRESTIGIOUS PURE MERLOT FROM BOLGHERI

The negociants di Bordeaux, for the first time, will be picking up a consignment of Italian wine. Considered for centuries to be the best wine merchants that exist, they have now chosen the prestigious Masseto 2006 pure Merlot produced at the Ornellaia Estate in Bolgheri.

An economic/financial comparison based on studies made by Mediobanca of global investments with the assets of the main international stock investors compared to the wine sector, was discussed at the presentation of this historic operation in Milan on November 11th. It also included the participation of Serena Sutcliffe (head of the international wine department at Sotheby’s London and New York), and the head of the Mediobanca Studies Office, Gabrele Barbaresco. Barbaresco lead the discussion, “How investing in wine is still an excellent way to obviate the current economic crisis”.
