NOT ONLY THE "STARS" DO IT, NOW NOBEL AWARD WINNERS ARE MAKING WINE, TOO. IN THE VINEYARDS, ALONG SIDE SINGERS AND ACTORS, THE AMERICAN ASTROPHYSICIST BRIAN SCHMIDT HONORED IN 2011 FOR HIS STUDY ON EXPANDING UNIVERSE

Wine is a status symbol, and now the “stars” do not just drink it, they produce it as well. But, in the vineyards besides singers and actors, there is also a Nobel Prize winner, the American astrophysicist Brian Schmidt, awarded in 2011 for his study on the expansion of the universe.
His research has taken years to complete, just like it takes years to make a good wine. Speaking from his Australian company "MaiPenRai" (in Thai "never worry"), the scientist pointed out "the first vintage of Pinot in 2003 was awesome, now, however, I am satisfied and it helps to be a Nobel Prize winner on the market… ".
The Nobel winner does not hide a certain fascination to try biodynamic viticulture, "but I just follow the lunar cycles, as our grandfathers and our fathers did before us, instead of using that somewhat exaggerated approach of those who make bio dynamics a religion". If you are curious to find out what the wine of a Nobel winner is like (mostly Pinot Noir), visit the site www.maipenrai.com.au.
