Brunello di Montalcino 2015, the “vintage of the century”. James Suckling says so (with 11 100/100)

The report of one of the most influential critics in the world of wine, especially in Asia: “tasted 187 Brunellos, half by more than 95 points”
Wine critic James Suckling

The great territories of wine, to become such, need great vintages. And that of Brunello di Montalcino, after such celebrated vintages as 1997, 2006, 2007 and 2010, just not to go back in time, has had several ones. But 2015, which will enter the market in 2020, really seems to be one of those destined to remain in history. James Suckling is convinced of this, one of the most listened to voices of international critics, especially in Asia, and a profound connoisseur of the land of Brunello.
“2015 is a historic vintage for Brunello di Montalcino, which no one should miss. The wines show impressive precision in their vivid fruits, in their elegant tannins, in their freshness and acidity, despite their great maturity and richness, characteristics that make them one of the most interesting vintages for years”. So much that, Suckling explains, among the 187 Brunello di Montalcino, tasted in preview, half of them obtained scores above 95 points, and 11, according to the critic, were judged perfect, by 100/100 (as many as never happened), which are, according to the order of publication on the portal www.jamessuckling.com, Canalicchio di Sopra Brunello di Montalcino La Casaccia 2015, Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona Brunello di Montalcino Pianrosso 2015, Eredi Fuligni Brunello di Montalcino 2015, Giodo (Carlo Ferrini) Brunello di Montalcino 2015, Luce della Vite Brunello di Montalcino 2015, Renieri Brunello di Montalcino 2015, San Filippo Brunello di Montalcino Le Lucere 2015, San Polo (Allegrini) Brunello di Montalcino Vignavecchia 2015, Siro Pacenti Brunello di Montalcino Vecchie Vigne 2015, Talenti Brunello di Montalcino Piero 2015, Valdicava Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Montosoli 2015.
