Being a leading company in the world also means paying attention and being able to reward small but very significant local experiences. This is what Amorim Cork Italia did, in fact, the tricolor division of the Portuguese company, the absolute leader in the production of cork and cork stoppers for wine, has awarded the Eticork prize to the “Vendemmia Solidale del Raboso Piave”, a project launched every year since 2005 by the Tezze di Piave di Giorgio Cecchetto estate, in collaboration with the Italian Down Syndrome Association.
An initiative where these young people work as winemakers and oenologists, producing bottles of Raboso del Piave, in the “Progetto Autonomia Sociale”. During this experience, they are involved in all stages of the wine production, which includes the harvesting, the pressing and the crushing of the grapes, and finally the sealing process. With a production of 1,500 numbered bottles per year, the labels are designed by hand and signed by the boy who created it. Raboso del Piave represents the territory and its history, however, it has also become a charity channel, contributing to the projects in support of the community, with the desire of making business in a collaborative and inclusive way, which Amorim Cork has decided to reward.
