A vertical tasting of Masseto in five double magnums (2004-2005-2006-2007-2008) with a starting estimate between 8,000 and 10,000 euros, a rarity like the bottle “Venti4 Anima Aurea”, made with pure gold inside and pure silver outside, estimated at 7-9,000 euros, a bottle of Romanée Conti Grand Cru 1970 by Domaine de la Romanée-Conti estimated at 6-8,000 euros, and six more of Chateau Lafite Rothschild 1995, estimated between 5.500 and 7,500 euros: these are the top lots in the catalogue that will be beaten on October 24, in Rome, in the enchantment of the debut in the world of wine of the Genoese auction house Wannenes, in partnership, for the first time in the world of auctions, with Gambero Rosso (with an indication of the wines awarded with the “Three Glasses” of the guide “Wines of Italy” by Gambero), in the calendar of "Rome Wine Weeks” (October 14-28).
A catalogue of great classics, the one developed by the auction house, whose “wine & spirits” division is led by the histrionic Gelasio Gaetani Lovatelli d'Aragona, with some gems, such as the lot of 18 bottles Dom Pérignon Cuvée Vintage 2002, Andy Warhol Edition, with labels with colors dear to the signature symbol of “pop art”.
