It is one of the unforgettable historical music event - Pink Floyd in concert on the floating stage in front of Piazza San Marco (July 15, 1989) in Venice. 25 years after the "concert of the century", their new album "The Endless River", is about to come out 20 years after their last album "The Division Bell". In the meantime, there will be an exhibition of rare material celebrating the great British rock band, "The night of wonders, July 15th Venice 1989 to 2014", with David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright (who died in 2008), while the return of Roger Waters is still uncertain. The cultural association Floydseum sponsors the exhibition, which includes some of the world’s greatest collectors of the band’s memorabilia and will be held in the former church of Santa Marta until October 26th, when the new album will be released.
And this time, the wine world is also on stage at the opening of the exhibit, July 12th, with Prosecco from the Venetian winery Viticoltori Ponte, in front of over 250.000 people in St. Mark's Square and live on worldwide TV in 20 countries and over 100 million viewers, in memory of the Pink Floyd concert event. They toasted with Prosecco Spumante DOC Treviso Extra Dry by Vioticoltori Ponte, a Venetian firm that supports the efforts of its territory, from the partnership with Teatro La Fenice, the firm produces a line of high-end wines that also helps to financially support the activities of the Theatre and also to promote spreading Italian culture in the world.
