SANTA MARGHERITA AND MEZZACORONA STRENGTHEN ALLIANCE. THE GOAL? TO RE-QUALIFY THE PARTNERSHIP IN SICILY AND VALORIZE ITALIAN WINE AROUND THE WORLD

An important alliance has been made between two of the largest and most important names in the Italian wine industry: Mezzacorona and Santa Margherita.

According to a recent press release, the announced reorganization of the Mezzacorona group, “has given life to a re-qualification of partnership relations on Sicilian soil between the two biggest Italian wine groups. The will to optimize management for the entire group will result in the incorporation of the Sicilian operative unit Silene of di Nosio Spa, sub holding of the Mezzacorona group, which Santa Margherita has recently acquired a part of. The Sicilian projects “Terreliade” and “Feudo Zirtari”, initiated in Sambuca di Sicilia, will continue to remain central in the productive and commercial strategy to renew the partnership between the two operators”.

But the agreement between Mezzacorona, signed by the administrative director Claudio Rizzoli, and Santa Margherita, with administrative director Luca Marzotto signing, also foresees an important and different aspect that goes beyond the production of wine in Sicily: or rather that “of reinforcing their alliance through a new collaboration and agro-industrial agreement based on a multi-year plan, with a scope of offering more impulse for the emersion of Italian wine onto the world market”.
