WINE ALARM IN CHINA: THE CHINA ALCOHOLIC DRINKS ASSOCIATION (NGO NON-PROFIT) SAYS IN ALL WINES PRODUCED IN THE COUNTRY, CONCENTRATION OF "PLASTICIZING" SUBSTANCES IS MORE THAN DOUBLE PERMITTED BY LAW

While in many countries from the U.S. to Russia, strict controls are requested on wines imported from China, a new alarm comes from the non-governmental and non-profit "China Alcoholic Drinks Association", as reported by "Beijing News". In all the wines produced in China, there would be "plasticizing" substances (used to make the products more fluid and "elastic") in concentrations more than twice that permitted by Chinese law: 1.08 milligrams per kilogram, while only 0.3 is allowed. This is because China, it seems, does not require controls on businesses. Wine samples are now under inspection.
