WINE-SEARCHER: SASSICAIA IS THE MOST SOUGHT-AFTER ITALIAN WINE (NUMBER 9), THEN TIGNANELLO, ORNELLAIA, MASSETO, SOLAIA, BAROLO MONFORTINO RISERVA DI CONTERNO, BARBARESCO DI GAJA, BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO BIONDI SANTI AND BAROLO DI MASCARELLO

Italian wine continues to grow in the world, thanks to the work of its so many territories and wine producers. The legendary wines, though, the most sought after by enthusiasts, are for the time being the same. So, Sassicaia of Tenuta San Guido, has been confirmed the number one Italian wine in the "Top 100 Most Searched-For Wines" on the Wine-Searcher portal, which has a database of 400.000 different wines, and one million searches a day (updated on May 1, 2017, https://goo.gl/ ff4P7T). The famous Bolgheri wine is at number 9 on the ranking, and 37.987 searches.
France dominates the "Top 10" (as well as the rest of the ranking) and specifically Bordeaux, which is at the top with Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Chateau Lafite Rothschild, Pauillac, Chateau Margaux, Petrus, Champagne Brut Dom Perignon, Chateau Latour, Chateau d'Yquem, Chateau Haut-Brion, and then Sassicaia and the Californian Opus Wine. The other Italian wines on the ranking are, as usual, the great Supertuscans and the top names of Barbaresco, Barolo, and Brunello di Montalcino.
Antinori’s Tignanello is at spot 26, followed by Ornellaia at 37 from and Masseto at 38. Antinori takes another spot with Solaia at number 49, followed by Barolo Monfortino Reserve of Giacomo Conterno at 67, then Barbaresco of Gaja at 70. Brunello di Montalcino of Tenuta Greppo of Biondi Santi is at 82, and then Barolo di Bartolo Mascarello at number 97.
