WINE: SICILIAN WEBSITES ARE THE BEST IN ITALY ACCORDING TO WINENEWS SURVEY …

Sicily has won the Internet Oscar for the “Wineries on the Web” top classification list created by WineNews, one of the most popular Italian wine sites online. In fact, Sicilian wineries make up half of the six out of twelve sites chosen for this survey’s fourth edition. Every year this list selects the best internet sites in the Italian wine world. Duca di Salaparuta, Tasca d'Almerita, Santa Margherita, Planeta and Donnafugata are at the top of the classification list, having all received the highest five symbol score.

And still within the top twelve spots, chosen from over 1,500 sites for wineries throughout every region in Italy, are Sicilians Cantine Florio and Carlo Pellegrino. The main aspects that were taken into consideration for selecting the sites were the emotional impact, graphics, accessibility, navigability, contents, and updates.
