NIENTE TRICOLORE NEI “WINE STAR AWARD” DI “WINE ENTHUSIAST”; UNA DELLE PIU’ FAMOSE RIVISTE MONDIALI DEL VINO. IN EUROPA VINCONO I FRANCESI. LE NOMINATION ITALIANE ERANO: MASTROBERARDINO, LIBERA TERRA E IL TERRITORIO DEL PROSECCO

Un’edizione che non ha visto inserirsi nei “Wine Star Award” nessun italiano, anche se in passato, il mondo vitivinicolo tricolore era riuscito ad imporsi con una confortante continuità all’attenzione del magazine Usa “Wine Enthusiast”. Basti ricordare il 2009, in cui Mezzacorona è stata eletta la miglior cantina europea e la migliore regione vitivinicola è stata la Valpolicella. Oppure il successo di Piero Antinori, che ha vinto il riconoscimento del “Lifetime Achievement”, nel 2008. L’edizione 2010 (siamo alla n. 11) del “Wine Star Award”, il premio che “Wine Enthusiast” attribuisce alle eccellenze internazionali del mondo del vino mondiale sembra, per questa volta, privilegiare, almeno in Europa, la Francia.

Le tre nomination italiane per i “Wine Enthusiast Star Awards” erano: nella categoria “European Winery of the year”, Mastroberardino, l’azienda campana che ha rilanciato il vino irpino in Italia e nel mondo; nella categoria “Wine Region of the year”, il territorio del Prosecco; negli “Innovator of the year”, Libera Terra.
