AFTER ROME’S ALL-NIGHTER, WINE WILL NOW GET ITS CHANCE TOO: “WINES OF THE WORLD” WILL CELEBRATE IN SPOLETO FROM DUSK TIL DAWN ON JUNE 3-4

The idea had already been tried and with very successful results in Rome, but until now no one had ever thought of combining it with the theme of wine. We are referring to the infamous “Notte Bianca”, or the all night festival that Rome’s mayor Walter Veltroni thought up, and which is now finally being applied to a wine festival. It is not taking place in Rome this time but in Spoleto, where, from June 2-4 the second edition of “Wines of the World” (www.vininelmondo.org) will be taking place.
This event within an event is an appointment that wine enthusiasts cannot miss. Restaurants will be open until morning, serving prestigious wines and delicious dishes. And shops will also be open to satisfy any desires to do some late night shopping. The streets will be overrun by a festive atmosphere with over thirty artistic groups performing.
Music, poetry, and art will alternative with events set to satisfy other senses as well. The center of Spoleto will be welcoming thousands of wine lovers, offering them a chance to get to know, taste, and appreciate the best labels from various different categories of wine. Historic palaces and city streets will open up for the festivities, filling with art, culture, and enjoyment together with the intoxicating perfumes and flavors of wine.
This wine initiative is an event not only for wine enthusiasts but also for those who want to join in the celebration of three days of art, culture, and friendship in one of the most beautiful cities in Italy.
