WINE & LUXURY: “DIADEMA DIAMANTE” IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE BOTTLE OF WINE IN THE WORLD, WORTH 5.2 KARATS. BY THE RENOWNED CREATOR OF LUXURY GOODS FOR VIP’S, ALBERTO GIANNOTTI (VILLA OLMO DI IMPRUNETA, FLORENCE)

A 4 karat bottle of wine: 134 diamonds have been used to create the most expensive label in the world. The “Diadema Diamante” is the latest creation by Alberto Giannotti, the owner of Villa l’Olmo di Impruneta (Florence). The precious bottle, worth 8,000 euros, will contain a superb Super Tuscan made of a Sangiovese and Syrah mix. A pleasure to the eyes and the palate. For the even more demanding consumer, there is also a magnum version that includes 180 diamonds, equal to 5.2 karats, and selling for 12,000 euros.
Other precious materials have been used to make these “regal bottles”. The diamonds are in fact set in white gold on the silver label, and are all created by the expert hands of master Florentine artisans. They are the result of the collaboration with the historical Opificio Orafo Torrini, working gold and precious materials in Florence since 1396. A leather cover and a certificate of guarantee for the diamonds complete the precious package. The covers can be personalized with a choice of various types of leather. Alberto Giannotti noted that “we have produced four 0.750 liter bottles of these exemplars with diamond labels, three of which have already been sold in the United States and London, while the magnum is a unique piece that we count on presenting all over the world”.
Another step towards exclusivity and luxury in a bottle for Giannotti, who in the past has created other precious and coveted luxury items. There is also, for example, “Diadema”, a bottle that in place of diamonds is encrusted with crystals by Swarovski. These bottles can even be personalized with the name of the person acquiring the bottle. Numerous Vip’s, like Roberto and Eva Cavalli, Flavio Briatore, Valeria Marini, Ornella Muti, Gianluigi Buffon, as well as Alena Seredova, Jeremy Irons, Larry Hagman, Marcello Lippi, and many others, have already bought their own personal bottles. Diadema has a production of 50,000 bottles of red and 20,000 bottles of white, for a cost of 50 euros per 0.750 liter bottle. Leonardo Roselli
